20th Anniversary & Preview Party2006 marks the 20th Anniversary of what is now known as Justis Publishing Ltd. Formerly Context Ltd, the company has grown from one employee to a 35 strong organisation. As a result, our product offering has expanded to include four innovative online services – Justis, JustCite, Tenders and Parlianet. In 1985, work began on the development of the first ever online database of legal information. The following year CELEX and The Weekly Law Reports were launched electronically on Justis Online. Since then, Justis has grown into a widely-respected source of eight primary case law titles, nine specialist case law titles, three legislation and three EU Law databases, and it continues to evolve today. In late summer 2006 Justis Publishing will be re-launching both Justis.com and JustCite with an all new look and enhanced functionality. In preparation, a number of Focus Group Sessions have been scheduled throughout February and March to provide users with the opportunity to review prototypes of the new services and to voice their questions, comments and suggestions. Your feedback is important to us so that these concerns will be carefully considered for implementation in the final launch of both services in late summer. Those interested in participating in these sessions should contact Victoria MacLean at communications@justis.com In addition, to show our appreciation to our customers we would like to invite you to our 20th Anniversary & Preview Party. We would like to celebrate 20 years with the unveiling of the new Justis and JustCite services that will be launched in late summer. This party will take place in the first half of March and we would be pleased if you could attend. Invitations and further details will be sent individually. You may also email us to express your interest in attending. Personal User RegistrationCurrently most Justis.com and JustCite users access the service by logging in using a generic User ID and Password that is shared with a number of users at the subscribing organisation. In preparation for the re-launch of our services, we will be asking all Justis and JustCite users to register as a personal user by the end of June. Registering as a personal user provides users with immediate access to additional facilities such as the ability to save searches and to use the email Alerting Service. Once the new service has been released, personal users will be able to customise Justis further and will have access to new features. Personal user registration can be done by using the “Register as a personal user” option on the Log In page. Your new User ID will be the email address that you provide and you can choose your own password. We can provide assistance to larger organisations that may find it time-consuming to register each individual user. Please contact us for further details. New Titles on JustCiteOverwhelmed by legal information sources? Ever wonder if there’s an easier way to conduct your legal research? JustCite can help. With JustCite, you can search an index of free and subscription services and find out exactly which service has the full-text you need without having to search each source individually. During the first half of 2006 there will be a number of changes made to the JustCite service that will enhance the user experience. These changes include new search capabilities and the addition of a substantial number of new titles to the wide range of case law and legislation series indexed on JustCite. Currently there are 300,000 cases indexed on JustCite and this number is growing every day. We are continually updating JustCite and in response to user requests, the following case reports have been added to the extensive list of titles currently indexed on the service:
In addition, the following case reports and journal series are due to be completely indexed by the end of June: Case Law Series
Journal Series

Title TalkInquest Law Reports (2000 – present) is the only publication which aims to collect all cases relevant to inquest law readily in one publication, making it an indispensable resource for coroners, larger private practice firms and local authority legal departments. These reports provide the full text of judgments from the High Court, Court of Appeal, and House of Lords and relevant judgments from the European Court of Human Rights on Article 2. Each case has a headnote prepared by a team of barristers and solicitors who specialise in inquest law. Furthermore, this collection combines the growing number of cases argued in the High Court involving inquest law with cases relevant to the work of Coroner’s Courts. For further information and a free trial of Inquest Law Reports on Justis.com please contact the sales team on +44 (0)20 7284 8080 or email sales@justis.com. News "In Brief"In January, Justis Publishing staff exhibited at our first exhibition of 2006 – the American Association of Law Schools Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. The team spent five days in America’s capital and met many new and familiar faces. The event was a great success and we would like to thank those that visited us at the exhibition.
